Karmen Padfield started her journey at VVC in 2009 as an adjunct faculty member in Nursing and Allied Health. 🚔🤝 Recently, Victor Valley College hosted advanced active shooter response training through the nationally recognized ALERRT Center at Texas State University.

Law enforcement professionals from local, state, and federal agencies came together to strengthen response strategies, coordination, and preparedness in critical emergency situations. Participating agencies included:

✅ Apple Valley School Police Department
✅ El Segundo Police Department
✅ FBI
✅ Federal Bureau of Prisons
✅ Fontana Unified School District Police
✅ Hesperia Regional Parks Police Department
✅ Hesperia Unified School District Police Department
✅ Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Police
✅ San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office
✅ UCLA Police Department
✅ U.S. Marshals Service
✅ Victor Valley College Police Department

The FBI says the training is the National Standard in Active Shooter Response Training. The program has trained hundreds of thousands of first responders nationwide.

At VVC, safety remains our highest priority. Thank you to all participating agencies for their dedication to protecting our communities. 💙
