If you have a child from completed Kinder through 6th grade check out Summers Art Academy Art Camp!
We will have two art camps this summer, one at the end of June and one mid July! We will be having classes at Northside Baptist Church.

Our super fun clay crabs were fired and brought back today and the kids got to paint them. They are so cute! They make me giggle. The afternoon class did such a great job with these little guys! Today’s afternoon students learned about the German scientist and art illustrator Ernst Haeckel. He was born in the late 1800’s so we went way back in time! Students looked at jellyfish illustrations by Haeckel (that are truly stunning) and then drew their own jellyfish. We painted with a gel medium to create a resist, them painted over our jellyfish with warm watercolors. These will be finished tomorrow with cool colors around it and treated with salt! It will truly be a cool finish. Students will also finish up their clay sculptures tomorrow! It’s been a great week!
