I was born in 2021 and for the first 8 months of my life I lived in a not-so-good house where I was mistreated. Lucky for me, my owner surrendered me to a shelter. Unfortunately, I stayed there for 8 months. On January 2, 2023, my new parents came and too

Long post , but important information. We strive to be as transparent as possible, especially when it comes to money and how what comes in for paintings and baskets is used.

Up until the end of last year, Mom bought all my painting supplies and paid postage for every package we sent out. The goal was 100% of what came in going back out to shelters and rescues. When Mom lost her job at the end of last year, we had to start paying for postage out of proceeds before making donations. It’s not what we want, but is necessary until she gets another job.

The job market is so tough right now. Mom hasn’t been able to find a new job, but has been lucky enough to have full time contract work. That will end at the end of July. My next painting sale will be late August and will be my final sale of the year. It will focus on fall, Halloween, winter, and Christmas, but we will sell all shapes. Right now we don’t have enough sandwich bags, gloves, paper plates, wax paper, or shipping boxes to make it through one more sale. We are also low on paints with fall/Halloween/winter/Christmas colors and some other things like the little clear plastic stands, ornament hangers, and magnets.

Mom made an Amazon Wish List with things labeled high priority (the must haves), low priority (cool stuff I found, but not something we have to have), and things that don’t show a priority (marked as medium, but Amazon doesn’t show that) we will need eventually but can probably survive the next sale without them.

Please don’t feel obligated to get anything. Mom feels bad even posting this, but without some of this stuff we can’t do much of a sale in August. The other option is to use funds from our upcoming July basket to get supplies. That means less going to shelters/rescues, so hopefully we can avoid that. Paws crossed Mom finds a full time job, or at least contract work for after 8/1, soon.

I will always be available for paintings when there is a loss or diagnosis. You do not need to wait until my next sale. Mom will hold on to the money until our next basket or sale and add it to those proceeds. I just had 2 people reach out for paintings for pups that crossed the bridge. I’m honored they would choose me to make something for them, a friend, or a family member to remember their pup.

This past Sunday Seguin Snips Squad held a fundraiser called Pour-ly Painted Pets. Mom signed me up weeks in advance, donating $35 and sending them pictures. We got the painting today and it is amazing! They raised just over $1,000. I think this was a great fundraiser idea. Maybe they will do it again next year. Y’all know Mom will get another one 😁
