We're excited to welcome Meghan Raybon and Tara Janak to the Smith STEM Academy family! Meghan and Tara will be joining our 3rd Grade team, where they will be teaching Math and Science.

These two educators bring a love for learning, a commitment to student success, and the enthusiasm needed to help our Eagles grow both academically and personally. We know they will build meaningful relationships with students while creating engaging learning experiences that spark curiosity and confidence.

Our Eagles are fortunate to have Meghan and Tara joining the nest, and we can't wait to see all the amazing things they accomplish with our 3rd graders this year!

Throughout the summer, we'll be introducing the newest members of our team through staff spotlights. First up, we're thrilled to welcome our newest ECSE team members. A dedicated ECSE teacher, Misty Hogan,- and two amazing paraprofessionals, Tracy Mozisek and Myrtle Brown, who will help support and inspire some of our youngest Eagles.

Their passion, commitment, and heart for students will make a tremendous impact on our campus, and we couldn't be more excited to have them join the Smith family.

☀️ Introducing: Summer STEM Saturdays! 🔬⚙️

This summer, we’re bringing learning home with a fun weekly challenge series designed to keep kids thinking, creating, and problem-solving all summer long!

Each Saturday, we’ll post a new STEM challenge that students can complete at home using simple, everyday materials. These challenges are designed to help kids think like engineers by:

💡 asking questions
🛠️ designing and building
🧪 testing and improving
🔁 trying again to make it better

From building structures and designing games to solving real-world problems, each challenge is hands-on, creative, and family-friendly!

The best part? There’s no “right answer”, just thinking, trying, and improving like real scientists and engineers.
