Popular Juneteenth foods and beverages include strawberry soda, red velvet cake,
watermelon, and red punch.

It's time for another Fun Fact Friday! On this day in 1994, President Roosevelt signed the legislation turning Big Bend into a National Park. Big Bend covers over 800,000 acres of land and is known for its ecological diversity and cultural importance.

Did you know National Donut Day was established in 1938 by The Salvation Army to honor the "Donut Lassies" who served donuts and provided comfort to soldiers during World War I?

Today, we celebrate this sweet tradition and the people who helped make history a little brighter one donut at a time.

Fun Fact Friday! Almost everyone has heard of the Wizard of Oz. People often quote the famous books, and there have been numerous adaptations. However, it was a coincidence that the "Land of Oz" happened to be named "Oz". Baum was thinking up a name when he happened to look over at his filing cabinet. He noticed that one of the draws was labeled "O-Z" and decided that would make a good name for his fantasy land.
