Greetings Parents of Binah Academy,

We wanted to clarify any miscommunication that may have arose today. We will be open tomorrow, January 14, 2022; however, we are not allowing aftercare children to attend. The reason being is the Vicksburg Warren School District has placed them on a 5 day mandatory quarantine. We apologize for any inconveniences you are experiencing.

Due to the mandate by our Mayor George Flaggs, we will be closed until April 6,2020.

I apologize for the confusion. When we get approval to re-open we will notify you all via Facebook and all other e-blasts that we can.

Dear Parents:

Binah Academy will open next week unless mandated to close. However, we have been advised that parents who are required to work as essential workers will receive childcare preference. Parents in front line careers, such as medical professionals, police officers, grocery store workers and those in service industries are considered essential workers.

The restrictions whereby we are able to open our doors are below.

1. We are ONLY allowed to have 10 children per room.
2. You will be REQUIRED to sign a waiver releasing liability towards Binah Academy.
3. We will check every child’s temperature immediately upon arrival and every 2 hours throughout the day.
4. If a fever should arise, you will be notified and MUST pick up your child within 45 minutes.

These standards are necessary in order to keep the children and staff safe.

Please bring extra Clorox wipes, antibacterial soap, hand sanitizer and baby wipes for your children. We are washing hands every 15-20 minutes.

As a resource to you, we will have a list of free websites with interactive and fun educational activities. We will also give out some worksheets for them to work on at home.

We realize these are challenging times but we’ll get through this together. Thank you, in advance, for your patience and cooperation.

Dear Binah Academy
Parents,

I am sure you are aware that the Vicksburg Warren School District has extended Spring Break through Friday, March 20th, with the possibility of going to online instruction after that date.

Please know that I recognize this is an extremely challenging time for all of you. I also want you to know that the health and safety of your children and our staff is our number one priority.

I have been in contact with other childcare owners and plan to contact the MS Department of Health, as well as the MS State Childcare Licensure Agency first thing Monday morning to seek guidance on our business operations.

Therefore, out of the abundance of caution, we have decided to close Monday, March 16th until further notice.

Because I receive state and federal funds from the State of Mississippi, I am compelled to comply with the request of Governor Tate Reeves for public school entities to close in an effort to not expose our most vulnerable little ones to this highly contagious virus, COVID-19.

As soon as I have more information from those agencies, I will contact each of you immediately.
