Welcome to our latest edition of “Ready, Set, SOAR! — SAE Learning Highlights!” where each week we highlight good news and innovative learning taking place around the halls of Sherman Avenue!
This week’s edition features a visit by our friends at the Vicksburg Fire Department for our kindergarteners to learn all about fire safety. Thank you so much for coming to spend time with our scholars, Vicksburg Fire Department! ❤️🚒❤️
We also caught some more of our scholars checking out library books and some more kindergarten friends working hard while having fun in centers.
We can already tell 2026-27 is going to be an awesome year of fun, growth, and learning for all our little leaders at SAE! ✈️❤️💙✈️

Welcome to our third edition of “Ready, Set, SOAR! — SAE Learning Highlights!” Each week we will highlight good news and innovative learning taking place around the halls of Sherman Avenue!
This week’s edition features third grade scholars in Ms. Leslie’s class working on becoming leaders through lessons in The Leader in Me, Ms. Ammons’ 3rd grade Math students participating in student led learning and making human arrays to model multiplication equations and the commutative property of multiplication, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade scholars checking out library books for the first time this year, and LOTS of SAE scholars of all ages enjoying sno-cones as a reward for making great choices and earning their Dojo points! 🍧🍧🍧
We can already tell 2026-27 is going to be an awesome year of fun, growth, and learning for all our little leaders at SAE! ✈️❤️💙✈️

🪩💃🏽🕺🏽🪩Our SAE scholars had a blast on Friday as we celebrated our first Attendance event during special area! We danced, partied, and had a fantastic time together with DJ Jackson spinning the tunes during our Attendance Glow Party! 🪩💃🏽🕺🏽🪩
Fun events like this one will be happening every month as we reward perfect and near perfect attendance. Parents, we ask for your help in ensuring your scholars are present all day, every day this year! 💙❤️💙

Welcome to our second edition of “Ready, Set, SOAR! — SAE Learning Highlights!” Each week we will highlight good news and innovative learning taking place around the halls of Sherman Avenue!
This week’s edition features kindergarten scholars in Ms. Coleman and Ms. Ivy’s classes learning through center work, several classes from around our building busy on Friday morning learning and exploring, and 3rd grade leaders from Mr. Thomas’ class as they work on the work! We would also like to introduce our first morning announcers of 2026-27, Jordan E. and Gregory R. from Ms. Candice Wilson’s 3rd grade class! These leaders are doing an excellent job getting each day off to a proactive start!
We can already tell 2026-27 is going to be an awesome year of fun, growth, and learning for all our little leaders at SAE! ✈️❤️💙✈️
