Thank You, Vian! 💙💛 We Have A Community That Shows Up for Our Kids🙌🏼We are truly overwhelmed with gratitude for the generosity of our community and the dedication of the families who work so hard to make our livestock booster club successful. We are blessed to have so many people who believe in our students and are willing to invest in their hard work and success!
You may be wondering, what exactly is a livestock booster club? The Vian Livestock Boosters are an organized, hardworking group of parents, family members, and friends who support our students as they work toward their goals in livestock showing.
When our students qualify for the spring premium sale at the county livestock show, they bring their animal through the sale ring to receive a premium bid in recognition of their hard work and dedication. Behind the scenes, our boosters work tirelessly to help ensure that every student has the opportunity to receive support and recognition for the months of time, effort, and commitment they have invested in their projects.
Sometimes, it can be difficult to understand why one animal brings a higher premium than another, even when the animals may differ in quality. What isn’t always visible from the bleachers is the tremendous amount of work that happens behind the scenes in the weeks leading up to the sale. Students and their families often reach out to local businesses, individuals, and supporters to advocate for their projects. In many cases, several generous people or businesses come together to help support a student and increase their sale total.
Because so much of this effort happens behind the scenes, students may not always realize how much support went into another exhibitor’s sale price. This is one of the many reasons the work of our booster club is so important!
The heart of the Vian Livestock Boosters is to make sure every student is recognized and supported for their hard work. We want every child to know that their dedication matters, their efforts are valued, and their community is cheering them on.
We are incredibly thankful for every buyer who attends the premium sale, places a bid, and helps keep this wonderful tradition alive. We are equally grateful for the individuals, families, and businesses who come together to support our booster club and help us make a difference for all of our students.
It takes a village to raise successful young people, and Vian continues to show us just how special our village is. Thank you for believing in our kids, buying fish dinners, supporting agricultural education, and investing in the next generation.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Vian, for showing up for our kids! 💙💛 If you’d like to make a financial contribution you may fill out a form & let one of the FFA Advisors or booster members know!
