Tomorrow is our first practice of this season!!! Looking forward to seeing our returning archers and meeting our new team members!!!

With the 2024-2025 school year upon us, I just wanted to get some Archery Information out early.

Flyers will be going up at the school next week with dates and sign up information. (See attached flyer)

I will also be working with the school to assist with advertising in order to grow our team with the hopes of fielding multiple teams at tournaments this year.

We had an outstanding run last season with three qualifying and competing as individuals at State in Indianapolis. We missed the mark by 38 points to qualify as a team. Had we had one additional teammate we would have most definitely went to State as a team.

The goal this year is to qualify as a team for the state tournament as well as increase our number of individual qualifiers.

Look forward to seeing everyone in October.

Results are in for the Indiana NASP State Tournament in Indianapolis and overall our three that attended did well. The pressure of the bright lights, big stadium, and 2160 archers competing as individuals and teams did reflect on scores. Each flight had 240 archers shooting at once. Of 17 individual competing girls, our two finished in the top 17. Of 13 individual competing boys, our one finished in the top 13.

Great job by all this season! Time to reset and start preparing for next year. Hoping to grow the team to be even more competitive at the team and individual level.

Good Afternoon Archers and Families,

Well the results are in for State!!! Unfortunately we did not qualify as a Team this year. We missed the cut line by 38 points. (Will discuss again at Monday’s practice)

I want to congratulate Serenity Beard and Austin Curry as they qualified and will represent not only themselves, but Switzerland County High School as well.

When you look at the results you can see where the cut line was and it was a hard fight. For the Team it was 3123 and we had 3085.

At the High School individual level the cut line was 272 for girls, and 276 for boys. Keep in mind the number of 10’s hit factors in. Enya Whitham was right on the cusp with a 270 qualifier score.

The middle school cut lines were 264 for girls, and 262 for boys. Keep in mind the number of 10’s hit factors in as well.

I am beyond proud of everyone and their individual growth this year!!! With committed archers that stay the entire season we can definitely qualify for state next year.

I will see everyone at practice on Monday and we can discuss in person. Again, great job by everyone and thank you for the effort you put in this year.
