Was there something about Vestal's approach to teaching and learning that stood out to you? "I loved their value of supporting students becoming a valued contributor to society."

What do you hope to bring to Vestal students that you are passionate about? "I hope to bring the knowledge and importance of physical activity and health in their everyday lives."

What do you hope students will remember about your classroom? "I hope they will remember the fun they have and how important it is for them to be in tune with their physical self."

What hobbies or interests do you have outside the classroom? "I love to golf, I am definitely a “Disney Adult”, and I was a big field hockey player right up until I graduated college."

What an incredible night at Vestal Hills Elementary! 🎤💚💛 Singer Jared Campbell kicked off the new school year with a welcome back to school concert that had everyone dancing and singing along! 🎶 He also shared his new book "Searching for a Superhero" with our Golden Bears.

Huge thanks to Bob's Discount Furniture, who surprised ARE with a Random Act of Kindness donation that made this concert possible! 🙌 And a shoutout to Principal Meghan Stenta for bringing Jared in to celebrate our students.

Jared even stayed after the show to sign books and chat with kids. What an amazing way to start the 26/27 school year!

On the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Vestal High School Social Studies teacher Brian McKinley, will be giving a special presentation at the Vestal Public Library (sponsored by the Vestal Museum).

Mr. McKinley will share his firsthand experience of reporting from a helicopter above New York City as the attacks unfolded. He will also show some of the images captured from the helicopter that have been featured in major newspapers and books.

Thank you WIVT WBGH NewsChannel 34 and 40 News WICZ-TV for coming out to talk to Mr. McKinley ahead of his presentation next week.
