Great first week of athletics last week. High school volleyball and football started off. Here is the schedule for a very full week:

Today 8/24 - JV Volleyball @ Fellowship Baptist Academy starting at 5:30 PM. Bus departs at 4:00 PM

Tue 8/25 - Cross Country @ Chippewa Hills Early Season starting at 6:00 PM. Bus departs at 3:30 PM.

Wed 8/26 - Varsity Volleyball @ Ashley starting at 5:30 PM. Bus departs at 2:30 PM. Athletes released at 2:15 PM.

Thurs 8/27 - Varsity Football @ Manton starting at 7:00 PM. Bus departs at 4:00 PM.

Sat 8/29 - Cross Country @ Central Montcalm starting at 8:30 AM. Bus departs at 6:20 AM.

We ARE Vestaburg!

After navigating a winless first season back in 11-man football, a young Vestaburg team enters 2026 more experienced, confident and comfortable in a system it spent much of last fall learning.

Subject: Update on Pick-Up and Drop-Off Procedures

Dear District Families,

Thank you for your patience and support today as we used our new pick-up and drop-off policy for the first time. We know that dismissal took longer than expected, and we truly appreciate your grace as we navigate these changes together. Student safety is always our top priority. While new procedures take time to refine, every step we take is designed to keep our children safe.

Why Today Took Longer

First-Day Numbers: We had a much higher volume of car riders today than normal, as many students will begin riding the bus in the coming days.

New Routines: Families, staff, and students are all adjusting to the new flow and expectations.

Registration Setup: We are still in the process of assigning and distributing pick-up numbers to ensure every child is dismissed securely.

How We Are Making Improvements

Our team will review dismissals daily and make adjustments to streamline the process. As these routines become second nature and more students transition to bus transportation, line wait times will decrease significantly.

We ask for your continued patience as we work through these first-week adjustments. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our schools safe.
