Now that we’ve introduced all of the wonderful new faces joining us this year, we’re excited to *re-introduce* a couple of familiar faces that we already know and love as they step into new roles at KWCS! 💚

✨Megan Cecil will be stepping out of the classroom and into the role of School Administrative Coordinator, working closely alongside School Director, Kelly Baker and helping support the many moving pieces that keep our school organized and running smoothly. Megan’s heart for our school and willingness to jump in wherever she is needed make her such a wonderful fit for this role, and we’re so excited to have her serving our KWCS community in this new way!

✨Molly Rice will also be stepping out of the classroom, but continue serving as our Preschool Curriculum Coordinator while also stepping into her new role as Assistant Preschool Director! Molly will be involved in all areas of our preschool program, supporting our teachers, classrooms, curriculum, children, and families. We are so thankful for the love, creativity, and expertise she pours into our preschool, and we’re excited to see her continue to help our program grow and flourish.

And a fun milestone to celebrate -- this year marks both Megan and Molly's eighth year with us at KWCS! 🎉

We are incredibly grateful for both of these ladies and the many ways they already love and serve our school. We can’t wait to see all they bring to these new roles and to another wonderful year together!

We've loved introducing you to all the wonderful new faces joining our KWCS family this year and today we're excited to introduce our FINAL new addition!

✨Help us give a warm welcome to Jessica Collins!✨

Jessica will be joining us as a Teacher's Assistant with our Elementary and Middle School, supporting students throughout the day! She and her husband Sam are the proud parents of a soon-to-be KWCS 6th grader! They have two goofy dogs and live nearby in Lexington.

In her free time, she enjoys long walks (while listening to a good audio book), trying out new recipes, traveling, or playing a competitive game of anything with family and friends.

Jessica worked in optometry for several years before returning to school to study Elementary Education at EKU. Over the last decade, she has had the privilege of helping out at a local Montessori school, co-ops, and caring for family/friends’ kiddos at home.

Her family has loved KWCS and she is so grateful for the opportunity to work alongside other families this year! Her hope is that every child grows in their unique abilities, they stay curious, and know the love and comfort of Jesus as they walk through all seasons of life!

We feel so blessed to have her joining our team and can't wait for all that she'll bring for our students and school this year!

✨ Meet Amy Daley, who will be joining one of our 3-year-old classrooms! ✨

Amy is the proud mom of one Kings Way student and lives in Lexington. Being a mother has been her dream come true, and she is excited to return to her calling of working with children. After experiencing Kings Way as a parent, she is excited to now be part of the school community in a new way!

She has years of experience working with elementary students in reading and is only one class away from completing her Master of Arts in Teaching, with a focus on Elementary Education (Kindergarten–4th grade). She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree.

Outside of school, Amy loves spending time doing anything with her daughter, painting, reading, and learning about history and genealogy. She also loves the mountains and the ocean!

We are so excited to welcome her to the team and look forward to seeing the love, experience, and enthusiasm she brings to her classroom!💚

✨🎶 We’re Bringing Music to King’s Way! 🎶✨

We are so excited to introduce music lessons this year, led by the amazing Mrs. April Huber! Preschool and Kindergarten students will enjoy music lessons twice a week, giving them regular opportunities to explore rhythm, movement, instruments, and the joy of making music together! She brings a love for music and a passion for helping children learn, create, and grow through age-appropriate, engaging musical experiences.

April is wife to Joel and mom to two school-aged kids. Their home in Versailles is also filled with a spoiled cavapoo, a flock of chickens, and plenty of laughter.

Outside the classroom, you'll often find April playing violin and singing at her church, reading a good book, exploring new places, tending her garden (when the chiggers aren’t terrorizing her!), or baking something delicious for family and friends.

April earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree from the University of Kentucky. She is also certified in the Suzuki Method, Orff, and Musikgarten, bringing a variety of engaging, age-appropriate teaching approaches to her classroom.

April is delighted to share her passion for worship and love of music with our preschool, elementary and middle school students! She believes every child is musical and loves creating a classroom where singing, moving, playing instruments, and making music together inspire confidence, creativity, and joy.

🎶 And there’s even more to look forward to! Mrs. Huber will also be offering Beginning Violin (K-3rd) and String Orchestra (4th-8th) as part of our after-school clubs. Sign-ups will be going out soon, so be on the lookout for more information! 🎻

✨ The introductions continue, and today we’re excited to share another wonderful new teacher! ✨

Meet April Wilhoite, our 4th/5th grade teacher! April and her husband Jeff have been married for 12 years and have two awesome kids together. In her free time you can find her hanging with her family, exercising, or cheering for the Cats in any sports event.

In 2012 she received her degree from Asbury University in Sports Management and has lived a life of adventure ever since. Fulfilling roles as firefighter/EMT, soldier, coach, and teacher to name a few. Above all, her role as a mom has shaped and taught her the most about God’s provision and faithfulness.

April has a heart for teaching kids in all capacities whether it be in the classroom, on the court, or out in nature. She is excited about the freedom and flexibility Kings Way offers and can’t wait to see how God grows her and her family in this next chapter.

We're so grateful to have April on our team and look forward to all the adventures this school year will bring!

✨Our team just keeps getting better!✨

We're excited to introduce another amazing member of the King's Way Cooperative School family! Please join us in welcoming Kara White, who will be working in one of our 4-year-old classrooms.

Kara is a devoted mom of two energetic boys and has been married to her husband, Steven, whom she met while volunteering together at their church.

A lifelong Kentuckian, Kara earned her Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Kentucky before spending seven years working in the Architecture and Engineering industry. In her free time, she enjoys painting, baking, reading a good book, and exploring new parks with her family.

Kara has a passion for creative learning, a deep appreciation for nature, and loves instilling a love of God's wonderful creation in children. Before joining King's Way Cooperative School, Kara enjoyed learning alongside her boys at home and is now looking forward to becoming part of the KWCS community.

Please help us give Kara a warm King's Way welcome!

✨ Another day, another amazing teacher to introduce! ✨

We are so excited to welcome Annie Wade to our teaching team as our 2nd/3rd Grade Teacher!

Annie and her husband, Chris have 4 wonderful children together! She received her degree in Special Education in 2012 and went on to teach at Bourbon County Middle School for 2 years before she made the decision to stay home to be with her children while homeschooling them the last 10+ years. Her and her family have recently relocated back to Lexington from Franklin, TN where they spent the last 6 years and they are enjoying settling back into the Bluegrass state.

Annie adores education and the gift of pouring faith into young minds and hearts. In her free time you may catch her reading a book, working out, or at one of her kids sports games!

We are so grateful Annie has joined our school family and cannot wait for our 2nd and 3rd grade students to learn, grow, and thrive in her classroom this year. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome! 💚
