Good evening, this is Superintendent Dave Harmon with several important back-to-school reminders. This first message of the year will be a little longer than my typical messages, so please stick with me.

First, as we always ask at the beginning of the school year, please have your children at the bus stop approximately 10 minutes earlier than normal for the first several days. As routes settle in, pickup times will quickly become more predictable. Similarly, at the end of the day, please expect students to arrive home approximately 10 minutes later than normal during these first few days. Dismissal will also become more efficient as students get back into the routine of boarding buses.

For families using the parent drop-off loop, please remember that the right lane is for curbside drop-off. Stay in the right lane and continue moving forward as space becomes available. Students should exit vehicles from the passenger side only. Please do not allow children to exit from the driver's side into the other lane of traffic.

If you need to enter the parking lot, please queue in the left lane and remain in that lane all the way to the building. The left lane is for vehicles turning left into the parking area only. Keeping the two lanes functioning as intended makes arrival safer and more efficient for everyone.

I have also attached a letter from Mrs. Rethman, our Food Service Director, regarding fruit and vegetable serving sizes for students in grades 7 through 12. This is not a change. However, we want students and families to know that beginning in seventh grade, students may take larger portions of fruits and vegetables than many of them currently take advantage of. Please take a look at Mrs. Rethman's letter for additional information.

Finally, we've included a link to our parent drop-off and pickup video showing how arrival and dismissal should work in front of Doors 1 and 2. If you are new to the district—or just need a refresher—I encourage you to take a couple of minutes to watch it. We had another outstanding year of academic achievement last year, and we're excited about what lies ahead. Most importantly, we are looking forward to having our students back in the building and beginning another year of learning, growth, relationships, and opportunities.

Thank you for trusting us with your children. We're excited to get started, and we're looking forward to another great year in Versailles.
Go Tigers!

A great tradition is making its return! 🐅🥁

Beginning this Thursday—and before each home football game, weather permitting—the Versailles High School Tiger Band will march to H.B. Hole Field, helping build the excitement of Friday night and bringing a little more Tiger spirit into our community along the way.

We’d love to see our community come out, line the route, cheer on our students, and help make the walk to the stadium part of the game-night experience.

It’s about more than football or music. It’s about community, connection, tradition, and giving our students another opportunity to experience what it means to be a Tiger.

Come out Thursday and help us start something special.

One town. One band. One roar. Go Tigers! 🧡🖤

Good evening Tiger parents,
This is Superintendent Dave Harmon with a quick note to you that Achievement Test results are now posted in ProgressBook for your review.

In order to do so, go to the ProgressBook login on the district's website, which is under "Parents/Students." Click the "ProgressBook" link. Find the Versailles icon and click it, and log in just as you would if you were checking your student's grades. Once logged in, on the left side of the screen, there is an option for "Assessment Scores."

Once you click that, you are able to see all state-mandated achievement assessment results for multiple years.

Good evening,
This is Superintendent Dave Harmon with an important message regarding student enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year into their next grade level. We hope you've had a wonderful start of summer and are busy making great summer memories!

This message is for all Versailles parents/guardians. Final Forms has officially rolled over into the 2026-2027 school year. You may begin updating and signing off on all forms starting immediately. It is incredibly helpful and important to us in our work over the summer months. It is critically important for bus routing plans.

Specifically, transportation forms MUST be updated by July 18th at the latest - that's just a little more than 3 weeks away already. Additionally, the Transportation forms must be completed for every single K-12 student, regardless of whether you utilize district-provided transportation.

We suggest that you use a desktop computer rather than a phone or tablet for the sake of readability and compatibility as you update and complete any forms. Anyone who submits a change of address in Final Forms must follow up with new proof of residency at the new address that they entered. The newly updated Student Handbook and the updated Chromebook agreement are in the Final Forms portal. Please read them carefully for any new and updated rules, procedures, and policies. If you have any questions, please contact the Board office at 937-526-4773.

Thank you very much. Have a wonderful evening! Go Tigers!
