What: Call an Elf is an annual event put on by our Student Council. It allows young kids to call in and talk to Elves from the North Pole. Elves are trained in what to say/not say. They focus on kind things kids have done (we don't ask if they have been good or bad), favorite winter activities, favorite Christmas songs, and ask what they are hoping for for Christmas. No gifts are promised. We encourage adults to help out on the phone for littles that might struggle to speak with elves. The phone will likely ring and ring, just stay on the line or call back if anything happens to drop the call.

When: December 10 from 5-6:45 (we stay until the phone lines stop ringing, which is usually 7).

Why: to connect with community and provide for some holiday cheer

LVLUP Martial Arts came to do a free Taekwondo demonstration at Once Upon a Time, where the kids learned how to say "Yes I Can!" and try out some new skills. He talked to them about control, discipline, and focus and how martial arts helps to channel all that energy in a productive way.
Ms. Beth from Music Well LLC came to sing songs and be silly with them, which is always a favorite with our PreK class! She sings songs about kindness and being a good friend while helping them to move their bodies and get all their wiggles out!
