09/08/2025
Welcome back to a new school year at Verona High School! We hope you had a wonderful summer and are as excited as we are to begin the 2025–2026 school year.
The Verona High School School Community Association (SCA) plays an important role in enriching the experience of every student at VHS. Our mission is to provide funds, programs, resources, and services that enhance learning and strengthen our school community. None of this is possible without the generous support of our families. Your membership, participation, and contributions allow us to continue valued traditions, revive past practices, and introduce new initiatives that directly benefit our students and staff.
This year, we are especially excited to share that we are moving to Zeffy, a new online platform that will help us manage event registrations, donations, and payments more efficiently.
This Year’s SCA Fundraising Efforts
SCA Membership & Donations
As part of our effort to strengthen the VHS community, we invite all families to become members of the SCA. We suggest a once-per-year contribution of at least $25. To recognize the generosity of our community, we’ve created the following donation levels:
$25 – SCA Member
$50 – SCA Advocate
$100 – SCA Champion
$200 – SCA Legacy Donor
Your donations directly support enrichment programs, scholarships, school projects, and the traditional end-of-year gift to VHS.

NEW! The Hillbilly Haul
We’re excited to launch a brand-new fundraising initiative this year— The Hillbilly Haul! A few times this school year, we plan to raffle off themed baskets filled with gift cards from local Verona businesses. All proceeds will directly support SCA programs and initiatives for the school.
We are kicking off with a Verona Spirit theme, which includes gift cards for Main Street Cottage, Two Guys Tees and Academy Apparel.

SCA Meetings
During the course of the year, we will hold two general SCA meetings. This is your opportunity to share thoughts and comments, or simply sit back and listen to what is happening at VHS and in our district. Our principal, Mr. Joshua Cogdill, along with our Vice Principal, Mr. Robert Merkler, attend each meeting and provide a summary of events and educational initiatives taking place within the school.
October 8th at 5:00pm

We communicate via email and on this page. If you have ideas, we’d love to hear from you. The VHS SCA Board looks forward to working with all VHS families this school year!
With much appreciation,
