COME VISIT The 29th Division Museum THIS SATURDAY, 20 JUNE!
TABLE TOP WAR GAME EVENT - OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! 10AM to 5 PM.
The scenario is a Napoleonic Peninsula War game, but based on the 1863 battle of 2nd Wi******er using the Carnage and Glory II computer moderated rules.
It will celebrate the anniversaries of Waterloo and the Gettysburg campaign all at once!
This will be VERY beginner friendly and just for fun. Something extra for museum guests to see.
If you are going to be in the area and want to give it a try stop by and give it a go!

Andrew Lewis and the Augusta Militia
Join local military historian Ted Shuey to learn how Andrew Lewis and other frontier era heroes kept the Indians, the French, and even the Virginia Governor Dunmore on the run. The Augusta Militia was there, and local citizens still uphold this tradition today.

Women of the Revolution - Soldiers, Sweethearts, and Spies
Did women really play an important part in the American Revolution? You may be surprised at the various tasks women took on as our country fought for freedom. And some names you may know may not have done what you think they did.
Help us celebrate Women’s History Month as we learn ways women served the cause of independence even without official recognition.

February Third Thursday Event: Visit with us Thursday the 19th of February for our 6:30 PM Program at the 29th Division Museum. We are remembering and honoring African American Soldiers who participated in D-Day and the Battle for Normandy in the Summer of 1944. Special Units and unique roles, battlefield heroics and notable soldier stories will be on the agenda! Please bring a friend, see you there!

*Free evening history education programs and events for all and about all Citizen Soldiers and their contributions abroad and at home.
*Free Facility use for Community Civics Groups and Veteran Organizations.
*College Intern Credits for JMU History Major students. Have served Radford U. and others in the past.
*History Tours to American Battlefields, Monuments and Cemeteries in France.
*Host Veteran and Member Reunion for 116th Regiment and 116th Brigade Combat Team Members and Families.
*Completed “dry-in” Phase I of a WWI Log Cabin restoration that will house the new The Mid-Atlantic WWI Center.
