Creative play is how young children learn, explore, and make sense of the world around them.

During the critical first five years, play gives children opportunities to build language, problem-solving, fine motor, and cognitive skills while developing confidence and independence.

At Childcare Resources, creative play is an important part of our curriculum. Through open-ended activities, art, imagination, music, movement, and hands-on exploration, children are encouraged to create, experiment, and discover at their own pace.

Outdoor play gives young children something a screen or structured activity can’t: space to wonder, experiment and make their own rules. Every climb, discovery and game of chase is building skills they’ll carry far beyond the playground.

And there’s important brain-building happening along the way. Outdoor experiences engage children’s senses, encourage curiosity, strengthen attention and support the development of language, problem-solving and self-regulation. When children explore, take safe risks and figure things out for themselves, their brains are making important connections.

Last week, we held Open House and had the joy of welcoming both new and returning families to Childcare Resources!

Families had the opportunity to visit their child’s classroom, meet the amazing teachers and staff who will be part of their year, and learn more about all that’s ahead.

There’s something so exciting about the beginning of a new school year. New friendships to make, new things to discover, new skills to build, and so many possibilities waiting just around the corner. We can’t wait to see all that this year will bring for our children and families.
