🚐☀️ Every Wednesday, our Food & Nutrition Services team is on the road helping keep children fueled all summer long!
Through our Summer Fuel Kit program, families can pick up nutritious shelf-stable foods at convenient drive-through locations across Indian River County. Each kit includes a variety of kid-friendly items such as cereal, cheese sticks, applesauce, crackers, sunflower seeds, juice, shelf-stable milk, salsa, chocolate chickpea spread, and more.
📦 Since the start of the program, our team has distributed thousands of meals and worked hard behind the scenes to pack, transport, and distribute kits to families throughout the county.

☀️📦 Wednesday Summer Fuel Kit Pickup is TODAY! 📦☀️
Come rain or shine, we'll be ready to help keep kids fueled for summer!
Our Summer Fuel Kits include a variety of kid-friendly items designed to help supplement breakfast and lunch throughout the week, including cereal, cheese sticks, applesauce, wheat crackers, sunflower seeds, apple juice, shelf-stable milk, strawberry bites, salsa, chocolate chickpea spread, vegetable juice, and more.

✅ Don't forget to bring your Fuel Tracker Stamp Card for each child receiving a kit.
✅ First time picking up? No worries! We'll provide a Fuel Tracker Stamp Card when you arrive.
⚠️ Please note: Children who are already receiving meals through one of our Summer Meals school locations are not eligible to receive a Wednesday Summer Fuel Kit. Families must choose either the school meal program or the Wednesday Summer Fuel Kit program.

Students participating in summer programs at Fellsmere Academy, including Literacy on the Lagoon, Moonshot, Step Into K, and more, are fueling their mornings with a nutritious breakfast before a day of learning, exploration, and fun!
A healthy breakfast helps students stay energized, focused, and ready to make the most of their summer experiences.
Don't forget that families in our community are welcome to visit Fellsmere Academy for a free hot breakfast from 8:30–9:00 a.m. and lunch from 12:30–1:00 p.m. Meals are available at no cost for all children and teens 18 years old and younger.

☀️❤️ Yesterday, We Celebrated Our Incredible Kitchen Managers! ❤️☀️
Yesterday, we had the opportunity to celebrate our amazing Kitchen Managers and thank them for another outstanding school year of serving nutritious meals, welcoming students with smiles, and keeping our cafeterias running smoothly.
As a small token of our appreciation, we treated them to a special lunch and sent them off with some summer swag to enjoy during their well-deserved break.
While many of our managers are beginning their summer vacation, several will continue serving students through our Free Summer Meal Program, helping ensure children throughout our community have access to healthy meals while school is out.
Thank you to our Kitchen Managers for your dedication, hard work, and commitment to supporting student success. Your efforts make a difference every single day, and we are grateful for all that you do.
