Today has been a very busy and very active day for the kiddos.

We are celebrating Memorial Day as a family here. We started this morning playing in the water with our dinosaur sprinkler. The kids had a blast!! I did get the question “did ReRe blow the dinosaur up again for us😂) I told the kids I asked ReRe I need your hot air again😂😂. She said oh heck NO!!! She almost loss her lung doing it for me last time. It only took 3 hours with her. Thank you to my neighbor Roger who blew it up with his air compressor.

We also had for our Memorial Day party hot dogs, chips and watermelon. Unfortunately my ice cream churn motor went out so we could not make homemade ice cream. We had to go to our 2nd best ice cream cup.

We also celebrated Little Peggy birthday with cake. Happy Birthday Lil Peggy.

What a busy day with the kiddos but most of all we are making memories with each other to last a lifetime.

Today’s theme was dress out in work out clothing.

Today in arts and crafts the children painted a baby chick. We let them choose their own colors.

Today in arts and crafts we made a submarine. We talked about the submarine and how it can be used.

I’m always asking myself what can I do better for my daycare children, am I doing enough?

Today is Child Care Provider Appreciation Day, and I just want to say something to the provider who is running on caffeine, cold coffee, little sleep, and pure love.

To the one who gets up before the sun to prepare for the day before anyone else even arrives…

To the one who wipes tears, noses, bottoms, tables, counters, and somehow still manages to comfort everyone else while ignoring her own exhaustion…

To the one who feels guilty when she takes a day off, stressed when a parent is unhappy, and wonders if she’s doing enough…

You are.

You are doing more than enough.

These children may never remember the crafts, the meals, the songs, or the toys. But they will remember the feeling of being safe with you. Loved by you. Comforted by you.

And parents are handing you the most precious thing in their entire world every single day because they trust you that deeply.

That matters.

Even on the hard days.
Even on the loud days.
Even on the days you end up sitting in silence after everyone leaves because you are completely touched out and emotionally drained.

What you do is important.
What you do is valuable.
And the love you pour into these children every day changes lives more than you probably realize.

So today, I hope you stop for just a second and realize how incredible you truly are.

What a great morning we had with our moms! This morning we celebrated you with a Mothers Day breakfast. We had homemade Micky Mouse waffles, sausage links, mixed fruits, donuts, coffee, orange juice, water and soda.

We also played a little game. I had each mother send me a baby picture that they thought no one could recognize their child. I had each mom try to guess whose baby picture belongs too which child. We ended up with 2 winners getting 100% right. Congratulations to Savannah Boswell and Raegan McKee for being the winners. Unfortunately, I thought in my mind no one could get all of them correct so I only purchased 1 orchid. Too my surprise we had 2 winners🤦‍♀️. Thank you Savannah for being so gracious and ask me to give it to Raegan. Oops !! I promise everyone next time I will have 2 gifts.

Each child made their mom’s 3 gifts. They put their whole heart and love into making the gifts especially for their moms.

Time flew by so quickly that we lost track since we were having a good time😭.

Thank you moms for making our new moms fill part of our daycare family. It’s awesome our new moms were able to get to know each one of our moms. This is not just a daycare/school but we are ALL family here!!!! Yes! We do like to have a great time especially with our parties.

Moms! You are doing an awesome job!!!!! You wear the title “Super Mom” very well!!! Keep up the good work.

Reminder to all our beautiful mom’s.

This Friday May 8th, we will be celebrating you for a Mother’s Day breakfast starting at 8:30 am. We will be having homemade Micky Mouse waffles, sausage, mix fruits, donuts, orange juice, water and coffee. So bring your appetite and be ready to eat.

Each child has been making their gifts for their mommy for the past 2 weeks. They have put their full heart and love into making them special just for you. If only you could see their eyes light up and their little hands working on your gifts.

Looking forward to celebrating our moms this Friday.

Today in arts and crafts we made a watermelon fan.

This month in circle time we are doing refreshers on our abc’s, numbers, colors, shapes etc.

Today in arts and crafts we made a sombrero quilt to represent Cinco De Mayo.

This week in circle time we are doing a refresher of our letters, shapes, colors, numbers, vegetables, transportation, occupations, manners, sign language, fruits, body parts, seasons, weather etc from beginning of our school year starting in August 2025 till the present.

Today in arts and crafts we made a rainbow from a cloud.

Today is our final family picnic for this school year. The kids had a blast playing at the Splash Pad in Sebastian.
