“2nd through 5th grade practice writing procedures for what seems like a simple task: making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. In this lesson, we reviewed the importance of having a detailed procedure for our science fair projects, and students wrote step-by-step directions for making a PB&J. They swapped procedures with a partner and followed their partner's exact steps. It was a tasty way to emphasize an important lesson!”

“The impact data for ICC 2026 in IRC have been compiled, and the results are staggering! 🤩

Drumroll, please...🥁

Across the record-breaking 26 cleanup locations throughout Indian River County, a record-breaking 1,324 volunteers from this community came together to remove 4,863 lb of debris from our beaches, coastlines, and waterways! You guessed it, that weight is yet another record broken! 👏

Astonishingly, at least 41,502 individual pieces of trash were removed from the environment! 🤯 While it is eye-opening and heartbreaking to know that so much marine debris was present in the community prior to September 19th, it is a wonderful feeling to know that it is now removed thanks in part to all of you!”
