For string players of all ages, levels, and stylistic backgrounds, focusing on non-Classical MBSC is open to all ages, levels, and stylistic backgrounds.
World-class teachers provide instruction in multiple traditions, develop improvisational skills, and coach student bands in preparation for public performances. We maintain a low student-teacher ratio in group classes, which are divided by ability level, so that everyone learns in an environment of their peers. Creative work is done in smaller ensembles that perform their own arrangements at the end of camp.

The final day of Mike Block String Camp and the culminating concert! We had 20 bands this year, featuring 99 participants from 3 different countries. We are so proud of our campers' hard work and amazing performances. THANK YOU to all of you for making this community so special. We'll see you next year! (Enrollment is already open!!)
Day 3! This is always a big day at Mike Block String Camp because it's the day we break out into bands. Participants get to choose which tune they would like to arrange for the final concert and rehearse with those bands from this day on.
