📚What a wonderful way to celebrate reading!

Mrs. Wert’s 1st Grade class proudly presented their Summer Reading Projects — “Book Report in a Bag!”

The students decorated a bag with the title of their book on the front and filled it with 5 items that could help explain the story. We love seeing their creativity, smiles, and pride as they shared their projects and celebrated their reading accomplishments! 🌟📚

Way to go, little readers! We are so proud of you! 💙👏

Mrs. Wood projected an image from her 1st grade students’ Religion book and invited them to share what they noticed. 🔍

One child saw God and Jesus. Another noticed the wounds in Jesus’ hands. One spotted the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove 🕊️ and thought the image was a picture of heaven.

Then came a beautiful moment of reflection. The last boy shared that he wasn’t sure it was heaven because there weren’t very many people in the picture—and he believes there are a lot of people in heaven. ❤️ What an amazing observation!

Each child of God sees the world through their own unique perspective, and we love hearing their thoughts, questions, and faith grow!

We are so excited about our new Religion curriculum, Word of Life, and the meaningful conversations it inspires in our classrooms. 🙏✨

Our NEW Weekly Newsletters were designed to give families a consistent way—and a consistent day—to stay up to date on what’s happening in the classroom and how they can support their child at home. 💙💛

👀 Be on the lookout every Friday for a newsletter from your child’s teacher with a look at what students are learning, important reminders, upcoming dates, and more!

Print it out, hang it up, and use it to stay connected throughout the week. 📚✏️ We can’t wait to welcome our Falcons back tomorrow as we kick off Week 2 of a great school year! 🦅 Go Falcons! 💙💛

🙏 Blessings Over Our Campus!🙏

What a beautiful way to begin our school year! Father Matt blessed our classrooms with Chrism Oil and Holy Water, while Father Emmanuel distributed blessed salt. We are grateful to St. Helen alumnus Seminarian, Michael Pederson for assisting our priests as they blessed our classrooms and students.

May God bless our campus, students, teachers, and families throughout the year! 💙🦅

👼💙Guardian Angels & Littles!💙👼

Our middle school Guardian Angels have been paired with their Littles for a special year of mentoring, praying, encouraging, and growing together! ✨

This beautiful program gives our older students an opportunity to practice responsibility, leadership, kindness, and service, while helping their Littles learn, mature, and grow with a trusted Guardian Angel by their side. 🫶

We are excited to watch these friendships grow throughout the year as our Falcons learn, lead, pray, and serve together! 🦅💙

🙏 Join Us in Prayer for Colombia 🇨🇴

This Sunday, August 16th, St. Helen Catholic Church will have a special second collection to support relief efforts for our brothers and sisters in Colombia who have been affected by the earthquakes. 🙏 Please keep Colombia and all those affected in your prayers.

Join Most Reverend Bishop Manuel de Jesús Rodríguez, for a special Mass for the Solidarity for Victims of the Earthquake in Colombia on August 15, 2026 at 11:30am St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church & School.

As members of one faith family, we are called to lift up in prayer all those affected by this devastating tragedy, especially those who have lost loved ones, suffered injuries, or been displaced from their homes.

Let us come together in solidarity and entrust the people of Colombia to God's loving care. May He grant comfort to the grieving, healing to the wounded, and strength to all those working to bring relief and hope in the wake of this disaster.

Please join us in praying for the people of Colombia.
