Helping parents and caregivers to carry their babies confidently and comfortably.

The fourth trimester is hard.

Still learning the changes that come with becoming a mother for the first time or adding a member to the family.

None of you clothes fit.

Emotional ups and downs as your hormones regulate.

Getting lost in the demands of a newborn.

That's why I always ask my prenatal clients to picture their postpartum experience. I believe a lot of women don't realize the postpartum period extends long past the first couple weeks.

Something to keep in mind is that humans are carry mammals. Our babies are born EXPECTING to be carried. Now of course some babies expect to be carried more than others (as I know from experience), but most all babies will not enjoy being laid down alone for an extended period of time.

How will you manage that? Will you have a sidecar crib? Will you bed share (look up the safe sleep 7)? Will you take shifts with your partner? Will you carry baby in arms or will you baby wear?

Further, who is there to support you? How are you getting things done? How are you taking care of yourself?

If your dog rolls in a rotten egg in the backyard and your husband is busy with your toddler who is giving the dog a bath if your hands are full with the newborn?

There should be a lot of mindfulness when planning the fourth trimester. Don't get so caught up in planning your birth that you forget to plan for postpartum (physically and mentally).

Baby wearing is for grandparents too! Here's my mom wearing my 7mo in the Girasol mysol half buckle so she has her hands free with our 2yo. Her first time babysitting both the boys and I'd say it went pretty well!! 🥰🥰

Babywearing dads are just 😍🔥

Don't let your man tell you they can't do *insert task here* with the baby when there's a perfectly good baby carrier laying around 😉

Here is my husband getting the baby to sleep so I can have a break 🥰 (feel like my days all consist of "getting the baby to sleep" 😂)

Praying for the families on the West Coast of Florida while we are safe on the east side enjoying family time 🙏

We are getting into onbuhinos ❤️ perfect quick high back carry so baby can have a view.

My first didn't pull my hair much but this one will pull a huge handful out with the grip he has 😩😩 def recommend head wraps or giant headbands for hair pullers.

The leading cause of postpartum depression is a mother's level of support postpartum NOT hormones.

If you are an expecting mother please plan for your postpartum period as much if not MORE than you are planning for your baby registry and birth. In our culture mothers are expected to do it all and learn it all all on their own but you can rest in the fact that that's not the way it's supposed to be, don't be afraid or feel guilty to hire in help if you don't have your own system.

Let's play "what's wrong with this picture".

This is why we don't buy strange carriers off of Amazon 😆 there's a reason there's so cheap!

If you are a new or expecting parent and can't tell what's wrong with this picture, let's set up a consultation to learn the basics of babywearing, proper positioning and safety 😉

If you can't afford a name brand carrier there are many buy sell trade groups on Facebook!
