Sixty golfers hit the course at the Hillcrest Country Club Saturday morning for Vernon ISD's 4th Annual Lions Roar Golf Tournament. The scores were low and the temperatures high, which made for a lot of shot making, laughing, sweating and having fun. 📢 IMPORTANT: McCord Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

Dear McCord Families,

Your child’s safety is our #1 priority! ❤️ We are making a few important changes to our drop-off and pick-up procedures to help keep everyone safe and dismissal running smoothly.

🚗 MORNING DROP-OFF
All drop-off will be on the South Side of the building.
We will use ONE lane in the South Lot.
Please stay in your vehicle and have your child ready to exit with their backpack.
Students will be dropped off at the gate.
If the gate is closed, please park and walk your child into the front office.
The West/Front Parking Lot is reserved for buses and A-2 car tags.

🚙 AFTERNOON PICK-UP
Kindergarten: North Lot
PK & 1st Grade: South Lot
We will use 3 pick-up lanes. The far right lane closest to the building is reserved for PK.
Please remain in your vehicle and keep your car tag VISIBLE.
🪪 CAR TAGS & SAFETY

Each child will receive 3 individual car tags. You MUST have your child’s car tag to pick them up through the car line.

If someone else needs to pick up your child:

Give them one of your child’s car tags, OR
They may pick up in the office with a valid ID.

For your child’s safety, office staff must verify that anyone picking up your child is authorized by you. If someone different will be picking up your child, please notify the teacher or office in advance.

📞 Transportation changes must be called into the office BEFORE 2:30 PM.

She gave a presentation on VISD's safety policy and procedures for various emergency situations. Keeping our students safe during school and while they are on our campuses is a top priority for Vernon ISD.
