This fall, the Vernon Chamber of Commerce and Vernon Township High School SCA are coming together for an afternoon and evening of fall fun with an even bigger purpose: supporting Pochuck Valley Farms during a difficult year. ❤️🌾

A historic spring freeze devastated Pochuck Valley Farms’ apple crop, eliminating this year’s apple-picking season and creating an unexpected financial burden for a longtime local business that has supported our community for years.

🍎 Now it’s our turn to show up for them!

Event proceeds will benefit Pochuck Valley Farms, including a portion of proceeds from the Haunted Trail. The remaining Haunted Trail proceeds will support the Vernon Township School & Community Association.

Instructor Highlight for the month of September is Paul Sensei! Paul has joined VVKA back in January of 2006 under Shull Sensei and has been training since! Under Shull Sensei he earned his shodan in 2009 and worked his way up to Godan in 2023, now Paul sensei has earned his Nidan in Reihokan back in April and assists Timmy sensei in the juniors programs. Paul sensei thank you for all your help and support!

It is still September and this months Student of the month is Hailey! She has been with our dojo since 2025 and has an almost perfect attendance! Hailey is committed, hard working and also enjoys having fun in class! We are very proud of her and her eagerness to learn and grow her karate! Keep up the great work Hailey!

Sunday Day 3 from Karate Camp! Thank you again Tommy sensei for a knowledgeable weekend! All of our students enjoyed it very much and have learned a lot, from Kobudo to empty hand drills, and kata!

One of our black belts Jose has been running a strength training/conditioning class for our dojo students and it has been going really well so far! Thank you Jose for your help with this!
