Okay, you’ve had your warning. Now it’s time to do the thing.

The Vernon College scholarship application is OPEN for 2027–28!

More than $500,000 in scholarships is available to Vernon College students. And before you decide, “I probably won’t qualify,” remember: these are merit-based, not income-based, and students with a 2.0 GPA or higher are encouraged to apply.

Now is the time to complete the 2027-28 FAFSA for the Fall 2027. If you are starting classes in January, you will also need to complete the 2026-27 FAFSA if you haven't already done so.

📢 Fall I & Fall 16-week Financial Aid Disbursement Update
The Business Office has completed processing Fall I & Fall 16-week financial aid disbursements.
💳 Direct deposits (to your personal bank account or Chaparral Card) may take 24–48 hours to appear.
📬 Paper checks will be mailed tomorrow.
💻 To view your refund information, log in to MyVC and select Student Finance. Under Student Refunds, all disbursements will display as a check:
* Paper checks will have a 6-digit check number.
* Direct deposits will have a 4-digit check number beginning with 000.
📞 For privacy reasons, the Financial Aid Office cannot provide disbursement amounts over the phone. If you have questions about how your refund was issued, please contact the Business Office.
