Every time you harvest a deer -- log it and be entered for the prizes

- Each deer harvest allows a nomination of a youth for the drawing of 𝟮 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘆𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.

Each year UF/IFAS Extension hosts the Big Doe Contest, and while this event is one of the funnest of the year, there’s a lot of science and purpose behind what we are doing. Harvesting does is critical for the health of the ecosystem and the deer population.
In addition, deer pressure on crops is causing major economic issues in the Florida Panhandle.
Teaching new and young hunters how to ethically harvest deer is important for the national conservation model and for your local community.

Every kid that hunts during the Big Doe Contest, regardless of whether they harvest or not, will be in a drawing for a Lifetime Hunting License.
Bo and April Durham, owners of Southeast Insulation, and avid hunters, step up big time every year and sponsor our Lifetime License!
