After learning about community helpers, CRS kindergartners were able to ask Vernon’s Mayor, Dan Ch*****ne, any questions they had about being a mayor. Mayor Ch*****ne even read them the book “Reading Makes You Feel Good” and gave your future voters “I voted” stickers before he left! A big “Thank You” to Mayor Ch*****ne for visiting our school this week!

A pretty ~remarkable~ start to October with this crew! They were nominated by their teacher this week and we are so proud! 👏🏽

Last week was only 4 days but CRS sure had fun! We were lucky to have Officer DiManno from the Vernon Police Department come read Officer Buckle and Gloria to the kindergarteners as part of their reading/writing unit about Community Helpers. 🚓

This morning we had our first school-wide assembly! It was great to see everyone in the gym to review expectations, announce Remarkable Roadrunners, acknowledge the top 25 of Recess Run Club, and sing our school song. Congratulations to all & a special shout out to our first two student MCs of the year! 🎤

Our second full five-day week of school led to some pretty awesome Remarkable Roadrunners! We hope everyone had fun at open house last night and as a reminder there is no school on Monday (9/21) 🗓️

A fun spirit day to end the week!

📢 Tomorrow is our first spirit day of the year! 📢 Dress for the job you want to have when you grow up or the one of someone you admire!

Recess Run Club is off to a great start (hint: it will be a piece of open house scavenger hunt on Thursday). Last week the group doubled (or tripled) in size - everyone in the group photo ran at least a mile throughout the week (162 students in grades 2-5). An extra congratulations to our top 25! 🏆

A reminder to CRS:

Open house is this Thursday night, September 17, from 6:15-7:30pm. There will be a scavenger hunt around the building, the PTO ice cream social, and time to meet teachers in our school. We hope you can join us!
