I have truly enjoyed teaching the wonderful group of ladies to play Mahjong at the Vernon Library each week! It’s been so much fun watching everyone learn and build confidence with the game.

I’m excited to share that I’ll soon be expanding my teaching services to students. If your child attends a private school or is homeschooled and receives a Step Up For Students scholarship, you’ll soon be able to find me in the marketplace.

Offering an American Mahjong Strategy & Enrichment Program this Fall.

The program provides structured instruction in American Mahjong for students in both private one-on-one and small group settings. Lessons are designed to strengthen cognitive development, strategic thinking, sequencing, pattern recognition, memory retention, focus, problem-solving, and social communication skills through engaging gameplay and guided instruction.

Students will learn:
*Tile recognition and organization
* American Mahjong rules and gameplay
* Strategy development and decision-making
* Critical thinking and pattern analysis
* Memory and concentration techniques
* Social interaction and sportsmanship
* Probability and sequencing concepts

Instruction is beginner-friendly and tailored to the student’s experience level and learning pace. Classes may include guided practice games, strategy exercises, visual learning tools, and supervised gameplay.

* Beginner through Intermediate Levels
* In-person instruction

Fee Schedule
*Private Lesson (60 minutes): $75
* Small Group Session (60 minutes): $40 per student
* Introductory Beginner Session: $50
