Back to school means back to breakfast and lunch with friends! Check out what’s cooking at Verndale Public School throughout September. 🍕🌭🥞

A few reminders:
🥛 White & chocolate milk are offered daily
🍎 Assorted fruits & vegetables are offered daily
🥪 Grades 7–12 have additional lunch options including a deli sandwich or yogurt parfait

Our playground volunteer night scheduled for Monday, August 24 is being POSTPONED.

We do not have a new date set yet, but we will share the updated volunteer date as soon as we have it!

Thank you to everyone who has been willing to donate their time and help with our new playground. We are so grateful for our Pirate community and all the support you’ve shown throughout this project! 💚🏴‍☠️

We are officially ONE WEEK AWAY from Open House at Verndale Public School, and we can’t wait to welcome our students and families back into the building!

✈️ Pack your bags, Pirates! 🏴‍☠️🌴

We LOVE seeing our Pirate families make memories, explore new places, and take those special trips together — but we also want our students here at school, learning and growing! 💚

That’s why we put together some of the best opportunities during the 2026–2027 school year to plan a getaway around our scheduled breaks and no-school days! 🧳✈️

Whether it’s a quick long-weekend adventure, a holiday getaway, or a bigger vacation over Winter or Summer Break, we encourage families to plan ahead and take advantage of the days students are already out of school whenever possible.

🌎 Take the trip. Make the memories. And help us keep our Pirates in school when school is in session! 🏴‍☠️💚

We are one step closer to having our new playground ready for our Pirates! 💚🏴‍☠️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered their time last night to help get the foundations poured for our new playground! Your hard work, time, and willingness to jump in and help means so much to our school and our students.

Projects like this truly take a community, and we are incredibly grateful to have so many people willing to lend a hand to make something special happen for our kids. 💚

As we get ready to set sail into another great school year, we’re asking all Verndale families **Pre-K through 12th grade** to complete their **Annual Online Enrollment & Student Information Update through JMC**.

Keeping your information current helps us make sure we have the correct contact information, emergency contacts, health information, permissions, and more for your student.

💻 Log in to your **JMC Parent Portal** and complete your update as soon as possible!

🔑 **Need help with your password?** Give the school a call at **218-445-5184** and we’ll be happy to help.
