Position Summary
Wonder Academy is seeking a warm, joyful, and nurturing Toddler Teacher to help lead our play-centered classroom for children ages
1–2.
We believe the earliest years deserve the very best educators. Our toddler classroom is intentionally designed around relationships, exploration, sensory experiences, process art, and child-led discovery inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy.
We’re looking for someone who delights in little moments—celebrating first words, muddy boots, tiny discoveries, messy art, and endless curiosity.
This is far more than supervising children. It’s helping build a foundation of confidence, wonder, and belonging.

Schedule
* Monday–Friday
* Hours between 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
* We will hire two teachers to share the classroom.
* Shifts will overlap from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM to provide additional support during lunch, transitions, diapering, curriculum activities, and planning.
* Exact schedule determined during hiring.

Responsibilities
* Create a safe, joyful, and welcoming classroom.
* Build trusting relationships with every child.
* Plan engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences.
* Facilitate child-led exploration through play.
* Encourage language, social-emotional growth, and independence.
* Provide loving and responsive care, including diapering, meals, and nap routines.
* Observe children’s interests and extend learning through meaningful invitations.
* Maintain a beautiful, organized learning environment.
* Communicate professionally and warmly with families.
* Collaborate closely with the classroom teaching partner and leadership team.
* Follow all Utah childcare licensing requirements and Wonder Academy policies.

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with infants or toddlers preferred.
* CPR/First Aid Certified (or willing to obtain).
* Early Childhood Education coursework or experience preferred.
* Knowledge of Reggio Emilia, Montessori, or play-based education is a plus—but a willingness to learn is just as important.
