Hello everyone, the Spencer, Iowa area, where I grew up, has been decimated by a flood. There are countless people that made it out of their homes with nothing but the clothes they were wearing. My friend Lyndsay Terveer and I are doing a food, clothing, and personal hygiene drive. There are a couple of drop points in Spencer. I spoke with the local American Legion post commander. They will accept donations and distribute them to all community members in need. To my Vermillion and USD friends, if you have items you are able and willing to donate, please DM me and we can schedule a time to meet. It is my intention to collect items over the next week and a half and take them to Spencer over the 4th of July weekend. Any help will go a long way. Thank you all.

We are more dedicated than ever to serving our students. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, USD has launched the USD Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. This is an emergency aid program for qualifying students who may be experiencing difficulties with expenses related to COVID-19 campus disruptions.
