🍦 Students kicked off the semester with some sweet treats at the Political Science, Criminal Justice, Legal Studies, Public Administration & International Studies Ice Cream Social last week! The event gave students a chance to connect, meet faculty and enjoy some ice cream on campus.

The Mock Trial student organization had a social this month where students could meet the team and learn what Mock Trial is all about! Throughout the semester, the team competes against other colleges and universities. They simulate trials by acting as lawyers and witnesses. ⚖💼

This year marks the third annual trip USD archeology students have taken to historic Fort Meade to explore “Soap Suds Row,” the living area of laundresses who cleaned the soldiers' uniforms.

Bella has been spending her summer focused on her research for the Summer Program for Undergraduate Research in Addiction (SPURA). SPURA is a multi-disciplinary research program providing undergraduate students the opportunity to work with a faculty mentor on a dedicated research project in the area of substance use disorder or mental health.
