Food Allergy & Playground Safety Policy
As many of you know, Evergreen Preschools has a new allergy policy in place this school year. To help keep all of our children safe, we ask that no food items brought from home, including children’s lunches and Aftercare snacks, contain the following:
Chicken
Turkey
Eggs as a primary ingredient, including mayonnaise, hard-boiled eggs, egg salad, etc.
Gelatin- please read yogurt labels carefully
As an additional precaution, everyone who enters the playground is asked to wash their hands immediately upon arrival, even if you are only dropping off or picking up your child.
The Evergreen Preschool Playground is an extension of our classroom. When entering the playground outside of our regular hours of 7:45 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, we ask that everyone follow these same safety guidelines. Additionally, we ask that no food or snacks from home should be brought onto the preschool playground when school is not in session.
Families are welcome to enjoy snacks on the hill behind the food shelf, as long as they do not contain any of the listed allergens. Before returning to the playground, please remember to wash your hands.
These policies are clearly posted outside the playground and cubby room entrances.
