Lots of learning happening in Ms. Olazaba’s class last week!

During small-group instruction, students practiced saying and writing vowels, along with writing their last names. They also used Elkonin boxes to stretch out sounds and write one-syllable words.

Students worked on orally identifying the beginning, middle, and end of a story before putting their ideas into writing. They also practiced segmenting and blending words aloud with a partner.

So many important early literacy skills being built through purposeful practice!

There has been lots of learning happening in Pre-K this week! Our youngest Bulldogs have been busy building early literacy skills through letter recognition, name practice, small-group instruction, hands-on activities, and plenty of opportunities to learn together.

It is exciting to see our Pre-K students already working hard, participating in lessons, and building the foundational skills that will support all of the learning still to come this year.

Lots of learning happening in Ms. Olazaba’s class this week!

Learning through art this week!

Our students have been busy exploring primary colors while building fine motor skills through hands-on activities. They also put their counting skills to work as they counted candles on the “world’s tallest birthday cake!”

It’s exciting to see so many skills come together through creative, hands-on learning.

Kindergarten students in Ms. Trammel’s class were hard at work building an important early skill.

As they practiced cutting along the lines, students were strengthening fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, focus, and control. These are the everyday learning experiences that help build a strong foundation for so many skills to come.

Ms. Walker’s kindergarten students are already learning that math is about more than finding an answer—it’s also about talking, listening, and explaining their thinking.

Students practiced their “Turn and Talk” math chats, building confidence as they shared their ideas with a partner and listened to how others were thinking.

We love seeing our Bulldogs learning to think, talk, and grow together!

There was lots of learning and movement happening in PE this week!

Our Pre-K students worked on color recognition through active play, while Kindergarten and 1st grade students practiced throwing skills and hand-eye coordination with frisbee toss activities.

We love seeing our Bulldogs building skills, staying active, and having fun while they learn!
