POINSETTIA'S APEX FUNDRAISER IS EXTENDED THROUGH THE WEEKEND - LAST CHANCE TO DONATE!!

Hello Families,

Thanks so much for your participation in our first Apex Fundraiser! Our Obstacle Course Event yesterday was a blast! We are raising money to support Enrichment Opportunities, Additional Classroom Support and Field Trips, but we are a bit short of our goal and need YOUR help.

The exciting news is that you have one more chance this weekend to help us reach our goal and we have a special opportunity for your students!

We are leaving the pledging open over this holiday weekend and have a very special weekend challenge! AND your student will have one final opportunity to earn some thank-you gifts too.

WHO LOVES GOLF N’ STUFF?!?!

For every new $30 donation your student gets over the weekend, they will earn a virtual entry into a raffle. So, the more they raise, the more virtual raffle entries and higher chance they have of winning! (i.e if your student raises $150, that is 5 virtual raffle entries) We will pull one student’s name from TK-2nd and one name from 3rd-5th. Each of those two winners will get a $100 GIFT CARD TO GOLF N’ STUFF to have fun with their family and/or friends!

WEEKEND CHALLENGE: OUT OF STATE! The class to get pledges from THE MOST STATES (outside of CA) will earn a PIZZA PARTY WITH THE APEX TEAM!

AND the class with the HIGHEST JUMP will earn a Root Beer Float Party!

TONIGHT'S CHALLENGE: PARTICIPATION! The class to have the most students log in and get a pledge of any amount will earn a popsicle party!

Over the next 2 weeks, Apex will take students on a mission to discover the X-FACTOR. During this mission the students will learn a combination of different habits that unlock the SECRET to making our world a better place for everyone. We’ll highlight a different leadership habit each day so families can continue the conversation at home.

▶ Our first Apex leadership habit is FEARLESS.
Being fearless means we’re willing to push ourselves outside of our comfort zone. It means we’re willing to take the first step into the unknown, even if we fail!

🗣 𝗔𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿: Ask your child if they have ever been afraid to try something new because they thought they wouldn’t be able to do it well. Talk to them about ways to break down a big challenge into smaller pieces, so it is easier to overcome.

Last night's challenge Winner was Coach Cruz's class with 65% of the students LOGGED IN! Great Work! Your class gets to PIE Almighty Jorge!!

Tonight's challenge is the SHARE 5 CHALLENGE: the class that has the most students input 5 NEW SHARES on the SHARE WIZARD will get to smash FIVE pies in their Apex members face!! Good luck teams!

We’re raising funds for 💙 Enrichment Opportunities, Additional Classroom Support, and Field Trips 💙 and WE NEED YOUR HELP:

1. 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱: Log onto the MyApexEvent.com website using your student’s unique ACCESS CODE. Codes are coming home today!

2. 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Simply click the “Enter Pledge” button on your student’s donation page to make a $ pledge per obstacle or any flat donation amount.

3. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 & 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀: Invite family and friends to donate online using the “Share Wizard” feature. Send a link via SMS text, email, and social media.

4. 𝗕𝗲 𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿: On January 12th encourage your student to do their best at our Apex Obstacle Course event. It’s going to be a TON of FUN!

Today was F U N! Thank you Mr. Cameron and Poinsettia Elementary School PTO for the amazing drum experience. All kids got to have 4 weeks of drum and today K kids and support adults got to be together on campus, some for the first time!!! ❤️🦁🪘
