Being in a life long intimate relationship with the Ocean helps to frame one’s understanding of this blue marble we travel on. It begins with our introduction to water. When one really knows what that entails, it helps us to avoid the handicap of near sightedness so common in civilizations which are emotionally and cognitively disconnected from the Commons. Why the is so vitally important. The Sea is our home.

UW wave image at one of the places I enjoy shooting. Place sees a lot of pressure from users, but it really looks like this. What happens when we are mindful as ocean people. We are part of the system and it is an integral part of what and who we are. Salt water.

Some images and thoughts stand out from others.

I have been in the Ocean all of my life in every capacity imaginable. It is home. Meeting Donna and introducing her to my world, and us getting to share experiences, has been nothing short of awesome. This image was from last week as we were headed down coast to Hailey and Eamonn’s wedding. I think what I was doing looked like fun and she swam out to join me.

We all love Fall around here. It was a long grey Summer.
