Well I guess the 'Weight of the Nation' is truly very timely! Did you see the report on the Today show this am about TEENS now being able to get Gastric bypass surgery?? How awful, the medical establishment allows a 17 year old to hit 300 pounds instead of stepping in before she reaches that weight & allowing bypass. Where was her Doctor and parents??? Yes it is hard to tell your child that they need to lose weight but how much harder to subject them to a very dangerous surgery with many long term side effects and there is no way to see what they will suffer in the future. Let's help our kids eat well and exercise NOW!!!!!!
