Hello my fellow artists!
I have exciting news! The Laby Harmony Project is hiring new teaching artists for our 2025/2026 school year. This is our 15th year bringing music education to underserved students and communities in Ventura, California. We are hoping to offer more opportunities by growing our program and are looking for teaching artists who share our passion and belief in the social power of learning and practicing the arts.
Our program is inspired by El Sistema and the philosophy of being a model for social action through long-term music practice. All of the students admitted to our program are provided multiple hours weekly of a free, high-quality music education through 12th grade. Our classes are based out of Title I & IX schools on the west side of Ventura, California and our students are primarily from underserved and under resourced communities. We are an equal opportunity employer and believe the diversity of peoples and perspectives make us all stronger as a community.
Visit our Linktree (https://linktr.ee/labyharmonyproject) for all of our current open teaching opportunities for the 2025/2026 school year. Please feel free to share them or this email with members of your community you think would be a good fit for our program!
Please send all resumes, cover letters, and references to my email:
