If you're interested in taking lessons or meeting me please call John at 941-536-1037 Thank you......I'd like to talk about what I offer and what will set me apart from other teachers in the area....
Please post here or contact me on facebook if you're interested in music lessons, thank you. Someone texted me at 941-536-1037 and we're possibly starting lessons in June, so this works, if i can be of any help please contact me on facebook or text via phone as stated above...
#1 when I was a student, i went to my teacher and they had an amp and a music stand......while it works, today's students would be better served by using desktop or laptop computers + music stand and amps of course...
#2 access to the internet during the lesson.....It's very important that we be able to look up songs and look at tablature and notation online together that's why Wi-Fi will be available during our lessons.
#3 Using various recording and software notation programs will be immensely useful so the students can continue their learning on their computers at home....everything will be linked together via the internet and email.
#4 Students will have their own reverbnation pages eventually, their own myspace pages, their own pages...of course with the parents permission, and my supervision, but they will at least be able to hear themselves on their own CD's in their car, on their computer, or on their phone......imagine sending grandma up north a CD or mp3 over the internet of their grandchild playing with a full backing band behind them.
I can teach them how to do this and facilitate this for you and your family. Playing music is truly a very great and rewarding hobby and a lot better than allowing the kids to constantly bury their face into computer games and cell phones.
Playing a musical instrument has been shown to increase memory and help brain function across a multitude of subjects. Music is very mathematically related. Notes are additive, divisible, etc......trust me knowing fractions can help :)
