The Grammy Tour is officially over — and I’m finally home, suitcase unpacked. This post shares the small moments that made this summer unforgettable: time with all seven grandkids, paddleboarding, horseback riding, long walks, and the chaos of chasing a teenager around a racetrack. If you need a reminder to slow down and savor the people who matter, this one’s for you. Read more: https://wix.to/rLuF9gi

This week's newsletter wasn't about adventures, finish lines, or big goals.

It was about the kind of strength nobody talks about.

The strength it takes to show up when life feels heavy.

The strength to care for the people you love without completely losing yourself in the process.

The strength to keep doing the basics when everything around you feels uncertain.

If you're in a season where you're simply hanging on tight, this one is for you.

🌿 Grounding: one of the simplest ways to reconnect with yourself — and it costs absolutely nothing.

Take a few minutes to put your bare feet on the earth:
👣 Grass
👣 Dirt
👣 Sand
👣 Water

This simple practice can help you slow down, get present, and reconnect with nature. Many people report benefits like feeling calmer, more relaxed, and more centered after spending time barefoot outdoors.

Whether you call it grounding, earthing, or simply taking a moment to pause — there’s something powerful about stepping away from the noise and feeling the earth beneath your feet.

And the best part? It’s free.
No equipment.
No gym.
No complicated routine.
Just a few minutes outside.

I’ve been loving this while visiting family here in Massachusetts.
Their grass feels AMAZING —
soft, cool, and such a beautiful reminder to slow down and enjoy the simple things. 🌱

Your body works hard for you every day. Give it a few minutes to reconnect with the world around you.

Where’s your favorite place to go barefoot? 🌿

I know-most people HATE squats - some days I love them, sometimes not.
But I always force myself to do them -why?
Because I want to be able to get out of a chair without help.
I want to be able to navigate stairs rather than take an elevator or escalator.
I want to get off the floor when I’m 70.
I want to be comfortable stepping over the tub to get in the shower.
I don’t want one of those bars installed because I can’t get myself off the toilet when I’m 80!
Your squats don’t have to be deep.
You can or can’t use weight.
But you need to do them.
Trust me on this.
Your future self will thank you.

Can you put your socks on like this?
It’s a simple question ….
But it’s actually a pretty good test of your balance, strength, mobility and confidence.
Most people don’t think about losing these abilities… until one day they realizing they are holding the wall..
Sitting down to get dressed… or avoiding things because they are afraid to fall.
This isn’t about showing off.
It’s about practicing your independence.
Every time I practice balancing on one leg while putting my socks on, I’m training:
*my balance
*my hips and core
*my foot and ankle strength
*my brain react and stabilize
*my confidence
These are the things that keep us active. The things that allow us to travel. Walk the beach. Play with our grandkids. Climb stairs .
And say YES to adventures.
Try it tomorrow morning.
Strong grandmas don’t train for the gym- we train for a bigger life!

At 64, I’m still working on this.

This is me jumping down from a 20-inch box.

Am I ready to jump up onto it yet? Nope.

And that’s okay.

Strength isn’t about pretending you’re fearless. It’s about doing the next thing that challenges you safely.

Jump training isn’t just for young athletes. For women over 50, it can help:
✨ Build power
✨ Support bone health
✨ Improve balance & reaction time
✨ Build confidence in daily movement

The key is to meet yourself where you are.

Today, my challenge was jumping off the box with control and landing softly. Tomorrow? Maybe I’ll jump up. I doubt it- but I will keep trying to work up the nerve .

Progress isn’t measured by comparing yourself to someone else. It’s measured by having the courage to do something today that you couldn’t—or wouldn’t—do yesterday.

Your body is capable of more than you think.

It's a new year and we're halfway through January. How are you doing with your goals? Remember, it's all about showing up consistently, not about being perfect. Check out this insightful read: https://wix.to/uXOrHku

Halfway Through January: How Are You Really Doing? We’re halfway through the first month of a brand-new year. And before you think about goals, plans, or what you should be doing, I want you to pause for a moment and simply check in with yourself—without judgment, without expectations. How are you ...

2025 is closing.
And before we rush into “what’s next,” I want to pause here for a moment.

Not to judge the year.
Not to criticize ourselves.
Just to release what no longer needs to come with us.

For me, the end of a year isn’t about becoming a “new” woman.
It’s about choosing what I no longer carry.

Maybe in 2025 you’re letting go of:
• The belief that it’s too late to get strong
• The pressure to do more instead of what actually matters
• Workouts that punish your body instead of support it
• The story that rest equals weakness
• Comparing your chapter to someone else’s highlight reel.

Because you can’t pick up something new…
If your hands are still full of the old.

So before 2026 begins, ask yourself:
What am I ready to release—so I can make space for strength, confidence, and a body that supports the life I’m building?

No resolutions.
Just intention.

✨ What are you leaving behind in 2025 so you can step into 2026 more fully?
