🏐⚡️ FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON! ⚡️🏐

SKY Academy Venice Volleyball took on Imagine North Manatee for our season opener, and we're SO proud of how hard this team worked!

Varsity improved as the night went on, with strong serve-receive positioning, great attitudes, and awesome support for JV! Next up: shaking off those serving nerves, communicating more, and attacking the ball instead of giving away free balls.

JV came READY! Consistent overhand serves, determination, and contagious energy helped earn the win! We’ll keep working on communication and trusting our setter with that second ball.

Join us in wishing our very own Ms. Baumgartner the best of luck as she heads to Hualien, Taiwan to compete in the 15th IDBF Club Crew World Championships (CCWC)!

She will be representing the USA with SACA, her local Tampa team, on the world stage after months of training. Our students and staff are cheering her on every step of the way! We wish her the best as she shows the world what hard work and determination look like!

⛳ SKY Golf Team Tryouts! ⛳
Interested in joining the SKY Golf Team? We’d love to see you try out!

📅 Tryout Dates: Tuesday, August 25 & Wednesday, August 26
Students must attend BOTH tryouts to be considered for the team.

📝 Sign up in advance on Mr. Novia’s door so we can plan accordingly.

🏌️ No clubs? No problem! We have clubs available for students to use. If you have your own clubs, you may bring them, and we can safely store them during the school day.

🚌 Transportation to tryouts will be provided from SKY.

⚠️ Parents/guardians must pick up students promptly at 4:30 PM at Pelican Pointe. Transportation back to SKY will NOT be provided.

🚗 Pickup Instructions
For GPS directions, enter Horse and Chaise Blvd.
Once you arrive at the gate:
1. Tell the security attendant you are picking up your child from golf tryouts at the driving range.
2. Continue straight until you reach the stop sign.
3. Continue straight into the parking lot and park on the left side.
4. Students will be finishing just down the hill in front of the parking lot at the short game area and will be ready for pickup at 4:30 PM.

📋 Team roster: The final roster will be posted around campus and on Mr. Novia’s door on Thursday, August 27, along with additional team information.
