Nobody's talking about this.

It's what I do for my buyer.

To make your collage for you, I have to get pretty messy. Gluing recycled paper and vintage fabric into my collages is, yes, a sticky business, but also a messy business.

I am fastidious with trying to keep the finished piece clean. To do this I use not so great smelling hand wipes soaked in adhesive remover.

It's what I do for you so you can be assured you are getting a paper and fabric collage that will stay put and last a lifetime 😊

Sketching out the distant oaks and maples up on the hill beyond the orchard. Stay tuned to find out how they turn out in this collage. At this point, I'm looking forward to searching for some "fall colored" papers 😊

At the show, you will see what you can't see in this picture of my new collage, "An Ontario Garden of Glittering Gems," like the "glittering gems!"

I hope you get to see this work in person. In many ways, it will surprise you like, not only the glittering gems, but also some other fun and engaging details.

Remember, it's the Fair Haven Art Center’s October “Leaf Peeper” Show, running Sat/Sun October 10/11 10am-4pm and Sat/Sun October 17/18, 10am-4pm at 562 Main Street, Fair Haven.

I do this for you.

Most would think I do this for myself but it's for you...

In this picture, I'm considering the recycled paper I want to use to depict the oak and maple trees in the background of my new collage.

It's a landscape of a fall scene of an Upstate NY apple orchard. So, I'm looking for colorful paper that looks like autumn tree colors - reds, orange, yellow, light green.

It's an abstract depiction but I want you to be able to recognize what the paper and shapes represent.

Tomorrow you'll get to see if I've succeeded 😊

Trust me.

You can trust me, ...

from the very start, to take the care needed to layout my ideas before it's too late to change the design.

You can trust me to plan, research, and visualize my ideas from the very start. I try to layout my ideas by brainstorming and refining them. This helps to ensure that as many aspects as possible are considered before it's too late to make any changes to the design.

By taking the time early to "sketch out" an idea, I assure the buyer that care has been taken to get it right, as much as possible, in the beginning.

Here is a sketch of my next collage. It has the basics - foreground, middle ground, and background - all ready for the fun journey of adding in the details .

Any guesses as to what this sketch will become?
