Varsity Cross Country Recap 8/29/26

FCXC girls had 4 compete on Saturday at RP. Hayley Kler finished 27th with a PR of 25:29. Ana Maltsberger finished 33rd with a PR of 26:11. Katelynn Holt finished 50th with a PR of 29:35. Zoe Wildman finished 55th.

FCXC Boys had 4 compete on Saturday at Riverton Parke. Alan Melchor placed 11th with a 19:09. Lucas Kirkpatrick placed 25th with a PR of 20:32. Andrew Froedge finished 47th with a PR of 22:31. Parker Maltsberger finished 61st with a PR of 26:14.

Junior High Cross Country Recap 8/29/26

The Junior High Cross Country team raced at Riverton Parke on Saturday in beautiful weather, tackling an incredible hill that winds through the woods along the course.
The girls' team was led by Adalynn Balmer, who finished with a time of 16:08. Reagan Ratcliff followed closely with a personal record (PR) of 17:21. Eva Holt also attained a PR time of 18:10, while Lilly Crowder finished with a time of 18:16. Lindsey Holt completed the course in 19:10, just ahead of Emily Dotson, who clocked in at 19:11. Emma Krout finished with a PR time of 26:36.
On the boys' team, Andrew Holt led with a PR time of 14:25. Kartyr Harkrider finished with a time of 16:12, while Kreed Harkrider achieved a PR time of 16:21. Colin Gregory rounded out the team with a time of 16:31.

Boys Varsity Football Recap 8/28/26

The Fountain Central football team traveled to Crawfordsville Friday night for its first road game of the season. The Mustangs fell 34-8. The Mustangs were able to find success on the ground, finishing with 144 rushing yards on 31 carries. Freshman quarterback Drew Foxworthy led the way with 94 yards on 16 carries, while Dakoda Willoughby added 50 yards on 15 attempts. Through the air Asher Davis was the leading receiver with 49 yards on 5 catches. Willoughby added one catch for 25 yards, while Ayden Batchelor recorded 3 catches for 15 yards and Ace Hoffa added one for 6 yards. The Mustangs will travel to Riverton Parke this Friday to start WRC play.

Fountain Central Stands with Riverton Parke 🩶

Fountain Central Football is standing with the Riverton Parke community following the heartbreaking loss of Chase Bennett this past spring. FC is selling Unity shirts to show our support, with all proceeds going to the Chase Bennett Memorial Scholarship Fund.

All shirts will be delivered to Mr. Earl and Mr. Morgan at Fountain Central by Friday, September 4th for pick-up and distribution to players, fans, and supporters. Thank you for your support!

Shirts will be worn by our football family and community at next week's game as we honor Chase's memory and support his legacy.
