Tpr. Caleb McGary of Troop J was recently promoted to Corporal in the State Police Training Unit. Tpr. McGary is a 7-year-veteran with the Maine State Police and served previously with the University of Maine Police Department in Orono. He is a member of the Honor Guard, Assistant Commander of the Tactical Team, and instructs in various topics including defensive tactics, motor vehicle law, and Taser. He has also been a Cadre for the 69th and 70th Recruit Training Troops (RTTs). Tpr. McGary has been recognized as the Troop J Trooper of the Troop and has received a Colonel’s Award and an award for Bravery.
