Another awesome week in our 1’s class🖍️💫They are growing their independence skills through play, arts, and crafts! This week we focused on the letter “L” 🐞 as we continue to emphasize name and letter recognition!

This week was full of engaging and thought-provoking activities in PreK4! ✨

🔢 Early Math: We continued learning about patterns and recognizing predictable sequences in objects, shapes, and numbers.

📚 Literacy: We learned about action words such as running, sleeping, jumping, and swimming. Students practiced identifying each verb and matching it to the corresponding action. We also continued our individual journals, strengthening writing skills through illustrations and writing about topics from the week.

🍎 Early Science: Students explored the life cycle and parts of an apple, enjoyed an apple-tasting activity, and participated in a STEM apple investigation.

🚒 Community Helpers: We learned all about firefighters, the important work they do, and why knowing when and how to call 911 is so important.

🍎 Literacy Highlight: We had so much fun with Ten Apples Up on Top! by Dr. Seuss, balancing “apples” (pool noodles) with our friends! 🍎✨

This week in the 3’s we worked on working through our feelings😊, name recognition📝, strengthening fine motor skills🖍️, color identification/sorting🟦

We also learned all about the letter L, and explored how shapes create other objects such as our shape dinosaur🦖✨

We can’t wait to see how our 3’s use their knowledge to build on their skills each week💫

PreK began their journey into the letter of the week “L”

Patterns(ABA,AAB)

During our literacy activities, we practiced recognizing individual student names while reciting the phonetic alphabet.📚 We also introduced patterns, incorporating color and object identification. Students practiced recognizing and continuing pattern sequences during our daily morning activities.🌈

In Music & Movement, we learned all about body percussion and explored how we can use our bodies to make music!🎶👏 Students had so much fun creating and performing their very own musical patterns.💫

So much learning, creativity, and fun packed into one week!✨

Our friends had so much fun with Muffy and learning the joys of a therapy dog. They also learned how to be respectful and caring towards animals.

Happy Friday Everyone🌟we have had such a fun and engaging week in PreK/4🌲✨

Students have created artwork that includes creative expression and early science using wax crayons🖍️ and watercolors🎨

We learned all about magnets through interactive resources and tools. Students are continuing to develop their writing skills in our daily shape and name recognition activities📚

Our yoga class was so much fun and students enjoyed learning about new poses, affirmations and individual mantras💫

Our classroom community is definitely thriving as we continue our daily activities and routines⏰🌈
