She has been practicing and teaching NVC since 2000. Sharing her knowledge in San Quentin Prison weekly for a decade, as well as working weekly with patients and staff at California Dept. of Corrections and Rehabilitation at Vacaville Mental Health Facility, has helped her develop simple language tools to practically apply in everyday interactions and in conflict situations. Mair has taught NVC in

Switzerland, Ethiopia, England, Canada, Mexico, and Hawaii. She founded the I Am Peace Center in California and has been a teen youth advisor for almost a decade. She is new to Vashon and eager to share her gifts with this community.
