For the 2026/27 school year, Vashon PTO has committed to placing an order for school supplies for each student at Chautauqua. Every kid, day one, the same supplies for every child, so there's no gap and no scramble in the classroom.
Why we're doing the whole school:
-Teachers get a break
Supplies arrive sorted and labeled, so teachers can focus on welcoming kids.
-Less cost, less waste
Bulk pricing retail can't match, tax-free, and far less packaging.
The PTO runs this as a service for Chautauqua families. You're buying the same supplies in bulk, at cost, and we back the program so no kid is left out.
Our sincere hope is that we can keep this program going year to year, and to do that, we need families who are able to contribute to do so (and soon, as we write the check in mid-July!).
