College Admissions Shifts!
The college admissions landscape is constantly changing with the competition for the best students to attend "XYZ" University. During COVID, many colleges dropped their testing requirements (SAT/ACT) and started requiring supplemental essays. Now with AI, that pendulum is swinging the other way with more colleges dropping the supplemental essay (i.e. UGA's infamous book essay, GT's "Why GT?", also Duke, UVA, UTK, TCU, and others) and requiring tests scores again. The result is that it makes admissions more competitive. This also means that class rigor and college admissions testing becomes more imperative as does the personal essay and activities sections of the application. Navigating this landscape is daunting. I see many students who do not have the test scores to make them competitive, or they haven't had the rigor or activities that they need.
Let me help your high school student prepare for this process! I'm now accepting 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students.
