Our Officer Retreat was June 1st & 2nd at Shelbyville.

The Officer Retreat is a one of the most important events of the year because this is when our yearly event planning is done & when we set yearly/individual goals.
However, this event is also about team development. A well oiled team can get a lot done in a more efficient way.

1st Day: Fishing & Swimming on the Lake
-Jase Rosenberger & Gunnar Major fried fish for dinner

One of our projects is renovating the okaw garden into a butterfly/habitat garden and the kids had a project to make bird houses for it.
We think they did a great job!

As this past year comes to a close- we have one more exciting accomplishment to announce. πŸŽ‰

Our Chapter received a silver πŸ₯ˆ recognition within the National Chapter Award in all area's!

This is a huge accomplishment as this award measures how active & impactful the Chapter is (regardless of competition success) throughout the year. The three area's that are judged upon are 1) Building Communities 2) Strengthening Agriculture & 3) Growing Leaders. The Chapter will receive this award at this year's State Convention.

Achieving this level of recognition has been one of our big picture goals and we couldnt have done it without the community support & student involvement! A special congratulations goes out to this past years officer teams for their planning & follow through while juggling FFA contests amongst their other responsibilities.
Your prioritization & hard work has paid off!

FFA Rewards Day!

At the end of every year the active members that have earned enough FFA points throughout the year are rewarded with a Reward Day.
This gives students an incentive to work towards throughout the year, especially if they want to be more active in Chapter events versus Chapter competitions.

This year the students competed in a bags tournament, played paintball or went to the golf simulators.

Tomorrow they have their FFA Banquet to finish out the school year's FFA activities!
